Termez State University has launched a program to minimize the use of paper in its work processes. The main focus is on using electronic versions of documents instead of paper copies.
TerSU has introduced a system for evaluating the activities of university management staff and professors, assessing the effectiveness of their activities (KPI) since 2023. University professors and teachers electronically upload data to the system in 4 areas (1-educational and methodological work and teaching quality - 10 indicators, 2-scientific and innovative activities - 15 indicators, 3-international cooperation activities - 9 indicators, 4-social and spiritual activities, performance and labor discipline - 5 indicators) in a total of 39 indicators. In particular, in 2024, a total of 741 university professors and department heads uploaded 38,895 forms of information (documents) to the KPI platform, and assuming each uploaded document is an average of two pages, 77,790 pages of paper were saved.

Termez State University has a strong stance on plastic-free living, which is reflected in its plastic-free programs. In particular, through educational initiatives in the form of mobile workshops, trainings and seminars, efforts are being made to explain the harm of plastics to people, study the problems it causes and implement measures to prevent them. In addition, single-use plastic containers have been completely abandoned in the canteens located on all campuses of the university, replacing them with environmentally friendly and recyclable, as well as biodegradable, utensils.
By establishing a complete and continuous system for providing people with clean drinking water on university campuses, the transportation and use of water in plastic containers has been significantly reduced.
