At Termez State University, student inclusion and equal access to education are considered fundamental institutional priorities. While the university does not currently operate a standalone Disability Support Office as a separate structural unit, the functions typically associated with such an office are effectively carried out within the existing administrative framework.
In particular, responsibilities related to supporting students with disabilities are coordinated through the office of the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work (“Yoshlar masalalari va ma'naviy-ma'rifiy ishlar bo‘yicha birinchi prorektor”). This office plays a central role in ensuring that all students, including those with disabilities, are provided with appropriate academic, social, and psychological support throughout their studies.
The university adopts an integrated approach, where disability-related support is embedded across multiple services rather than confined to a single unit. This includes assistance with academic adaptation, facilitation of communication between students and faculty, and organization of inclusive extracurricular and awareness activities. Special attention is given to creating a supportive environment that promotes dignity, participation, and equal opportunity.
Furthermore, the university continues to work toward strengthening its inclusive infrastructure and institutional capacity. Efforts are underway to enhance accessibility, improve staff awareness, and gradually formalize support mechanisms, with the long-term objective of establishing a more specialized and structured support system for students with disabilities.
This model reflects a transitional but proactive approach, demonstrating the university’s commitment to inclusivity despite structural limitations.
